Commercial Rotary Irons

Commercial rotary irons have become an integral part of today's commercial laundry systems.

At Thain Commercial, we have a range of rotary irons to choose from, depending on your needs. We can advise you of the various features and specifications, and equipment may be purchased or leased according to your preference.

What is a Rotary Iron and Why You Need One

A rotary iron is a lot bigger than a traditional iron, and allows the user to feed large amounts of laundry through it in a relatively short period of time. Until recently it was almost exclusively used in an industrial setting for dealing with large volumes of fabrics and clothes, but now they are becoming increasingly popular in the domestic setting. The cost of rotary irons is coming down rapidly, which is one of the main reasons for this growth in popularity.

The major disadvantage for some prospective buyers is the size of the average rotary iron; it can take up more space than the traditional iron and an ironing board combined, but there are also clear advantages which make this a minor problem for many people. Additionally, some of the newer models can be folded to take up less space when not in use.

A lot less time needs to be spent ironing with this type of machine, and you can adjust the roller speed to feed material through more quickly if you are in a hurry. You can also use lower speeds for thicker fabrics that need more heat to be applied to them during the ironing process. A convenient foot pedal controls the speed of the rollers, and it is not necessary to stand while using a rotary iron.

A rotary iron is a great investment if you are a provider of professional ironing services or make dresses either as a hobby or for a living. It can also be a godsend for busy homemakers who have large families with larger laundry needs. It provides the perfect professional finish, and ironing with it takes far less time than with a traditional iron.
