Thermal Disinfection in Dishwashers
We can supply state-of-the-art dishwashing machines that have disinfection cycles that meet with the Department of Health guidelines for dishwashing in care and hospital settings. When healthcare providers clean dishware, they need more than a washing up bowl. Hospital acquired infections affect thousands of patients each year and the Department of Health (DH) has laid out tough guidelines, to help stamp out the problem. Thankfully, through our partners (Miele and Electrolux) we can provide you with the right solution.
Here at Thain Commercial we know that ordinary domestic dishwashers just don't stand up to the problem. They're just not hot enough, for long enough, they can’t work with sterilising chemicals and commercial tank dishwashers balk at the challenge too, as they lack a freshwater system and their low temperatures cannot guarantee to inactivate dangerous pathogens.
Thain Commercial can supply machines that are specifically designed for healthcare environments, fitting perfectly into hospital wards and kitchens, childcare centres and care homes. Our machines disinfect at a default temperature of 85ºC, which exceeds the Department of Health’s minimum standards. The machines we supply have three disinfection programmes, and as they are supplied by freshwater, which means a clean wash every time!
Department of Health - Guidelines for Decontamination
The Department of Health introduced guidelines, CfPP 01-04, to replace the previous HSG (95) 18 regulations. In order to improve patient safety, clinical effectiveness and the patient experience, The Department of Health issued new guidelines called 'Choice Framework for local Policy and Procedures (CFPP) 01-01. Management and decontamination of surgical instruments (medical devices) used in acute care'.
These guidelines have been generated to help drive the continuous need for improvement of patient safety, clinical effectiveness and patient experience in the medical field. In order for hospitals and care settings to comply with these guidelines they need to adhere to the essential quality requirements mentioned in the CfPP 01-01 guide. The machines that Thain Commercial can supply complies with these guidelines and ensures service-users remain safe and in no threat from infection or contamination.
