A New Laundry Ready Before the First Residents Arrived
Morrison Community Care Group is a specialist residential care home developer. Its new 66-bed home in Livingston needed a commercial laundry that would be fully operational before the first residents arrived.
Thain Commercial worked with the development team to specify the equipment, install and commission the machines and arrange ongoing servicing and maintenance.
Specifying Equipment for a New Care Home
As a partner of Alliance Laundry Systems in Scotland, Thain Commercial brought established experience of supplying laundry equipment for care homes and supporting their ongoing servicing needs.
Working closely with Morrison Community Care Group, the team helped define the new home’s laundry requirements and proposed equipment to suit the needs of its residents.
Equipment selection and installation were planned alongside ongoing support, giving the development team a coordinated route to an operational laundry.
Installation Ahead of the Opening
Thain Commercial’s technicians fitted the machines and made sure they were operational before the care home received its first residents. Ongoing servicing and maintenance of the supplied equipment formed part of the project.
The relationship led to the award of supply, installation and maintenance contracts for the group’s next three Scottish care home projects, as Scott Falconer describes in the project team statement.
